Dirk Boman sent me a note the other day asking me to post something to conclude the series I’d started on creating dynamic drop down menus in IWWCM (IBM Workplace Web Content Management). I’d originally discussed the theory of it using a commercial product for menu generation and some integration code I’d written to munge it with the Navigator/Menu elements of WCM.

After revisiting this for Workflow’s website (which ought to go live soon), I found a much better solution that replaces the OpenCube code ($) with some lightweight Open Source code from htmldog.com, called Son of Suckerfish. Catchy, no? This solution involves one relatively small CSS file and about 12 lines of Javascript code to accomodate IE.

I really like this approach much better.
